Great, teach more people to grow their own food.-sorta like teaching one to fish. That's a wonderful idea and it's good they took the initiative. Oh, yes, this is so good to know. Lesotho is known as the "Switzerland" of Africa. May I suggest the following great read for anyone who may be interested: "MURDER AT MORIJA by Tim Couzeins Just before Christmas 1920, six people sat down to a meal at the Morija headquarters of the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society in Basutoland. All six were taken violently ill, and one of them – the eminent scholar and missionary Édouard Jacottet – died. They had been poisoned. Eighty years after the event, acclaimed writer and historian Tim Couzens sets out in the great tradition of the ‘locked room’ detective story to discover what happened at Morija. Who killed Jacottet? Why was he killed? The answ... What the above synopsis did not cover was that this book gives a good overview of the early history of Lesotho as well as a gripping sketch on the life of King Moshoeshoe (a truly fascinating individual). If you are not already employed as a book reviewer, then some magazine or newspaper is missing a top-notch employee. PS: I shall check the library and see if I can get my grubby little paws on the book. |
