Lexica says: Over the last few days when looking at the photographs of people standing in line at early voting sites across the country, I've been reminded of so many pictures I've seen of election lines before - lines of voters from throughout the world, voters who have had to fight for the fundamental right to vote, voters for whom standing in line is perhaps the easiest part of everything they've had to do to bring about change. We often forget what our forefathers went through to give us the right to vote. We take so much for granted. Thank you for the pictures as a reminder that waiting in line a little while is really just a humbling experience, and it gives us a little time to think and reflect. Waiting in a line to vote is a line worth standing in. Great clip! Thanks! The only thing better than standing in line is working at the polls helping others to cast their votes. I put in a 15-hour day explaining ballot procedures, doing on-site registrations, verifying ID and anything else that needed to be done. The co-workers were great, and I talked to dozens of people who were eager to do their own part. We handled 991 voters at my ward. Great clip, Lexica. Very humbling and awe-inspiring. There's nothing quite like people power. . Yeah, power t the people! Great clip Lexica! |
