Free up costly prison space, legalize and tax marijuana and use the tax money to fight the real drug problem: pharmaceutical drug misuse. Wow, what an idea. Why can't any of our elected officials see this simple solution to prison overcrowding? Why can't anyone see that it's the DOCTORS that are causing the drug problems in this country by their misuse of dispensing pharmaceuticals? It is simply ludicrous to jail people for smoking a NATURALLY OCCURRING PLANT WITH NO ADDITIVES!
