Exactly why church and state should be separate. Control the information; keep people uninformed of the truth so they can be controlled.

Sorry AcesLucky, it's not a religious problem. China does the same thing, as did USSR (although it wasn't Internet that was censored, it was books, movies etc.) I realize it's convenient for anti-religious zealots to push their point in this case, but it's not what it's about. It's a simple suppression of information to keep control without dissent and it's not about religion at all.

It's not rocket science... besides their customs aren't USSR's customs and they're doing the exact same thing, so it's not the customs.

I'm sure you're right. Your case is that it's political. Not religious.

In a theocracy, they're the same. A theocracy would do the same, for the same reason. We are already experiencing censorship for religious reasons, even in simple award shows! In the news, in the schools, in the major media.
