l1wulf says: Came across this page flipping through the help and FAQ pages. Didn't even know this page existed. Pray you don't have a competitive bone in your body or your lost forever Obviously your should be you're. ROFL, I combed through my comment and description looking for "your" then realized you were correcting yourself. As for competitive bones, I've already looked at the chart a couple times this week. I don't think that bodes well for me... currently 127th... but it's climbing. Check out this clip ps did you ever resend your email (I got pauldaq to allow your domain (the whole domain was blocked Haven't had the chance yet. Been too busy for leisure time after work (how sad, I clip mostly while working and have less time afterwards, heh). Getting off work in a few, will try again later tonight! Heh, there I go again, clipping before checking. In my defense, I've been very busy at work today, so uh, bugger, ok, so I'm lazy too. Lazy is not a nice word...you're just "industriously challenged" Am I missing something that is obvious (as usual)..........Has anyone figured out what formulae they are using to rank the clippers. I can see that the top clippers are doing a lot of clipping, but just can't see where all the categories fit in, and what exactly puts them on top. If its something really obvious, I'll be so embarassed, I'll put myself on the bottom of the list. By-the-way........I am not very competitive, and that's a fact! I'll be embarrassed too, because I can't figure it out either. I have always just thought it was a statistical combination of all the categories, but I don't really care either. I reckon you can't do much to affect the result anyway...except maybe by clip better clips that pop better maybe, but don't we already what we think is best? Hmm... Should read "clipping better clips", of course and I'm missing "already clip what we think is bes?t" ,but you get my drift....hopefully. I can see that the top clippers are doing a lot of clipping,Well, actually this is not very true. I've been using Clipmarks for almost 15 months and my collections have about 2100 clips. This makes less than 5 clips a day and I believe it's not "a lot of". Same (or even less) for Djiezes, Jason (Kore7), Josh (jklugman) and most others. Oh, and look at EricG's total clips and popped ratio. The Boss is doing very well. Yeah, when EricG speaks we all stop and listen. I was wondering how the rank is figured out as well. I can only assume that each column has a certain weight when plugged into some sort of formula. True, I think us top clippers rank high because we've been around for a long time & clip quite regularly. Concerning ericg. Why would we wonder he ranks high? Most probably he invented the algorithm. If you check the "Top 25 All Time Clippers" clip, you'll see he was 11th then. And if I remember it well, a few days after, he ranked 4th already, which confirms my theory that he adapts the algorithms so he ranks high himself. ROFL, hey, at least he didn't automatically place himself as #1. Obviously a ploy for throwing off those who don't know better. Hehe. |
