righthand says: Thanks to Roseybarb 11-9-2007 What you can do Watch Your Ozone Don’t use air fresheners advertised as pine- or lemon-scented, especially during high outdoor pollution days. For ozone forecasts, visit Air Now . This is a great government sponsored website all about air quality. When using cleaning products, avoid the use of indoor air cleaning devices such as electrostatic precipitators and ionizers that can emit ozone. Remove bad odors instead of masking them Open windows. Clean the source of the odor with nontoxic products. Empty the garbage frequently. Burn 100 percent pure beeswax candles with 100 percent cotton wicks - they purify and clean the air. Use an open box of baking soda for smelly rooms... POP, POP, POP! i *hate* "air fresheners" (read: maskers of stench by emitting different (mal-)odorous substances!) Thank you TV advertisements Happy birthday, Righthand... But I'll still keep up my relentless defense of the indefensible, the weak, the downtrodden, the broken, the beaten, and the dammed... And all the non-believers. (The plans that they have made.) does no-one open the windows anymore? i can't stand air freshners, they give me headaches if too strong. Even higher on the list is the individual, man or women, who doesn't understand that the whole room doesn't need to smell the fragrance they wear. Walking toxics. Clean it up with good old vinegar, non-toxic, smell reminds me of mum making a pavlova, kids don't notice it, does the job. Cheap too. And if you want to, use apple cider vinegar and have a swig of the foul tasting stuff to purify the blood. I love cinnamon (heat it) or vanilla extract. Eucalyptus is good as well, those commercial spray fresheners are so unnatural smelling. POP POPPITY POP!!!!!! The worst ones are those which claim to 'clean' the air rather than just mask the smell... We use the old fashioned way of.... ...wait for it..... ...opening a WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!! |
