I agree with you, gwendolyn. I believe this why you see division in American politics seems to be the highest good. However, I also believe we have been indoctrinated to forget where the real "authority" lies. It is with "We The People".

In solpsism there is no such thing as honest questioning and this results in the stubborn partisanship which has replaced the only road to wisdom, and that is through inquiring skepticism.
