Cutting out the dead wood - those extensions that have not been updated, or are no longer being developed.

The 'sandbox' will allow new extensions, and marginal extensions to survive - and be 'voted' on by users.

Seems sensible.

Nothing wrong with that, perfectly sensible. I use AdBlock Plus, StumbleUpon, CoolIris and DownThemAll primarily.

I use Clipmarks of course, Adblock, Minimizetotray (in office), download status bar, del.icio.us (simple one), Answers.com, and I have just installed Scrapbook yesterday which seems to have some really good features with the new version.
