Precisely what "the man" wants you to believe. Keep consuming the brain-washing video games. Maybe you won't even notice when the revolution begins.

Totally agree dresta2. Did they also mention that these kids happen to be more likely to grow up enjoying violence and getting out of control?

Of course not, that would be bad for "business"

Our experience in playing these video games will certainly help us out the next time we're attacked by space aliens or out pimping on the streets of Miami.

Kidding aside, I agree with the findings of this research. Gaming can increase perceptiveness, visual acuity and attentiveness. And as long as kids (or adults for that matter) can differentiate reality from the fantasy world of these video games then I see little harm done.

If everyone read the article properly, you would see that it doesn't have to be violent games, it jsut has to be more stimulating that tetris (like crazy taxi).

Any game that involves movement and quick thinking (or hand eye coo-ordination) would be more likely to give you better skills.

great! that means I can still keep my Off Road Fury, ATV and Flight Simulator games! They're more fun! (might help lessen road rage too! he! he!) PHEW!
