Hey, this is not bad, seems pretty fast and with all the correct features. I agree! I've been looking at the demo with tons of feeds and it's not too shabby at all. Unfortunately, I just paid for FeedDemon again last month, but NewsGator Online still leaves me wanting. I had given up on having "access anywhere" as an option for my feed reading and just rely on my laptop now. So now I guess I'm going to OPML my feeds and see how this new service goes. It certainly couldn't hurt since it's free. Well, I'm coming from Netvibes which provides everything that I need, though it still seems like a switch I will not easily make but I'm going give this new site a test drive. I like the speed and an ability to flag and save the feed seems like an added bonus. Ilwulf, what do you get for $29.95? Looks very stereotypically Web 2.0 — I don't mean that in a bad way, but that "instant demo!" plus, hey, AJAX, really calls out to those who this style appeals to. I currently use Bloglines; I used Google Reader but ultimately preferred Bloglines' organizational method and means of reading Titles (headlines-only) more. It looks blander, but works better for me. I'm curious to see what buzz rises up about Gobits Reader. @ghiberti $29.95? Lost me there, man. This service is free, unless I've overlooked something... @l1wulf - sorry dude I was referring to feed demon hmmm... I drove the demo and it's not so bad. I'm currently using Sage for Firefox and I think the only thing that might keep me in Sage is the ability to add a feed without having to log in to a website to do it. I didn't notice if there was an ability to add feeds this way with GoBits. If there is, then it might have me sold. Thanks for sharing this clip! And Happy New Year. I went back to Google Reader and it seems they have made some improvements. It is better than how it used to be when they first launched it (and perhaps lost all the customers with the first impression). I'm still keeping my Netvibes, pretty strong product. |
