I don't remember how long it took me to make $5 from Google adsense. I know it took me almost a year to finally get my first $100. My earnings have speeded up since then, but it's still not enough to make a living at blogging. I can't tell you how much I earn off of Google Adsense per the rules. I can tell you, however, that it's easier to make money through clicks than page impressions. I don't have the traffic volume for page impressions to matter.

I think there are some bloggers who don't have ads in order to be considerate of their users. Others are all about monetizing. I'm kind of in between. I like blogging, but I can't afford to lose money at it. Where do you stand? Is advertising a big part of your blogging?
