vickybaranwal says: need your comments Christ was the ultimate pacifist. Peace will only come when we stop defining ourselves by who we worship, and what makes us different (race, religion, region, politics, etc.), and start respecting each other as individuals, who, although we all have differences, we also have many things in common and are all human. Just my opinion. Shantih (peace that passes understanding) is present in the New Testament (though not, of course, explicitly since it is beyond understanding!) as the peace within, not as a peace between people. I have found that the acquisition of wealth requires the protection of wealth- with all this acquiring and protecting going on the "Thou shalt not covet...." thing kinda gets kicked to the curb, don't it? and a lot of cool people get caught up in someone else's drama, someone who calls himself president for example- It's a shame- now I'm no communist nor have I ever read any Karl Marx, but I do know how... |
