Pecan pie is kind of like sugar pie. Mmmm good.

My neighbor brought me back pecans from a yard in NC once and I made home-made pecan pie. OH GAWD it was good. There is a world of difference in getting the nuts or fruit fresh from the tree.

Those nuts were probably the largest I've ever seen and I topped off the pie with whole nuts on the top. GAWD I wish the climate was warm enough for pecan trees where I live.

When I was in the States a few weeks ago I had the worst cravings for pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I think it was the fall weather that brought it on. Happily, both cravings were satisfied many times

@ Zizzy:The US is the place for Pumkin and Pecan Pie We don't celebrates Thanksgiving here but that's not gonna stop me! My daughter is baking both pies today for our Thanksgiving feast Happy Thanksgiving!
