Fast T friend says: These lists are just crying 'clip me' - so here is another, last for today some interesting facts here. Apples???Almonds??? I eat a lot of them. Admittedly, not the apple seeds, but, it seems contrary to accepted belief. Almonds??? Nightshade family, eh? And nearly all people who die, eat bread before! But the most poisonous is water! Thousands die every year, if they took too much! I have memories of my Grandmother with that tablespoon and the Castor Oil. You had no choice but to take it. Almonds do contain trace amounts of cyanide, but, over the years, people cultivated strains of trees that lowered the amounts. Many vegetables are members of the nightshade family, including potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant, but it's the leaves and stems that are poisonous. It's misleading to say that the fruit (despite what the USDA calles them) are poisonous as well. One might as well say that rattlesnake meat is poisonous. |
