　電車内の痴漢が悪質化しているとして、警視庁と埼玉、千葉、神奈川３県警は２６日、ＪＲ東日本や私鉄各社など首都圏の主な１６鉄道事業者を集め、初の会議を開いた。警察側は抑止対策として、電車内に防犯カメラの設置を検討するよう要望した。事業者側には、乗客のプライバシーやコストの面からカメラの設置に消極的な意見もある。

　警視庁は今月２２～２４日にホームページを通じてアンケートを行い、２１１７人が回答。望む痴漢対策で最も多かったのは「巡回警備」（８２．１％）で、「警察による取り締まりの強化」（７４．８％）、「車内の防犯カメラの導入」（７３．７％）と続いた。
