I'll take Obama over Hillary any day.

The more I think about him running, the more excited I get. The way I see it: run the best that you have. And even if you lose, you will not hang your head in shame for running a "safe" candidate like Kerry. Obama has a 10x greater chance of winning than Hillary. He has the passion, charisma, and most importantly -- hardly any enemies

My general opinion of Obama is that he is an intelligent level headed man with character.

When I see him on his senate commitee or doing interviews by himself, he always expresses opinions that are genuinly helpful and well thought out. He does not sit around spouting democrat talking points all day, he attempts to add constructive advice or critisism.

This is one man I like a lot, and he would most likely get my vote if he runs in 2008.

Totally agree, BitDrifter. If there is one active politician able to bridge the divide, it is Obama. And that, IMO, is what this country needs: less division, less partisanship, real solutions.

Go Obama GO! He is a class act!

I think the only bad thing he has going for him is a lot of senior citizen folks I have talked to recently about him, keep thinking I am saying Osama.

In some fashion when he runs and he gets TV time, etc, that the population will then know who he is.

I would def. help campaign for him here in PA

It's depressing how subject the American "mind" has become to perfectly packaged con men. Superficial assessments based on presentation and personality.
If we wan't President Palmer charisma, and yearn for socialism, Obama's our man.

Actually I think, head-to-head, Dennis Haysbert beats Obama in '08.

Godfrey.... please have a sit at a Borders bookstore (I won't dare tell you to buy the thing..) and read "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama... then form an opinion on the man based on the substance contained in his ideas... I plan on doing the same as the excerpts I have read are very encouraging coming from a politician.

Socialism advances by various means, among them, eloquence and gorgeous idealistic rhetoric.

My opinion of Mr Obama was formed a couple of years ago, when I read a number of articles about him, and some by him.

He's a very elegant man, that I'll give him. He's almost the perfect candidate. If he were a conservative, he'd be our next two term President. But unless he can successfully conceal his socialist bent (which is a possibility given the willing and eager complicity of the news media), if he runs, he gets trounced.

Obama for PRESIDENT???? what hell have we come to? This man has done NOTHING , but give a good speech at the DNC. This is an example of the the cult of personality and celebrity. Style over substance. More evidence of the Age of Abject Stupidity.
