August recess?? Forget it! They've stuffed the business of the people for months and are stonewalling even now. Put it up for a vote....or shut up. This has nothing to do with drilling for oil; it has to do with the continuation of the obstructing of this Bush Administration. If it were a Democrat in the Presidency, progress would have already be made.

We're talking about Florida and California, and they don't want it. The whole process from exploration, to drilling, to getting the fuel to the pump would require a long wait time of about 10 years.

I'm in Fla. Crist is supporting it.

Ten years is BS. It could be as little as one year and no more than 3-4 years depending on the location. Ten years is the number thrown around but it only applies to how long it would take to get drilling in ANWAR up to full production. ANWAR wells would only be worked on during the winter, and the first wells would still be up and running in well under ten years.

We are also talking quite a few more states than just Florida and California. And Californians do want drilling, their liberal government is the only thing holding them up.

I'm in Florida too and from what I heard Crist changed his stance for political reasons.
