What kind of mother exploits her children in such a way? One that kills wolf pups in their dens. I know it's wrong to put the children in the spot-light like that but it also helps the public to know what kind of person is running in an election. But, once the public knows then you leave the children alone, they are not the politicians. Yes, but this went way beyond that. The exploitation of the pregnancy (in the face of what it really said about Republican "values"). the shotgun near marriage and having her constantly carrying her little brother around ("Oh look she will make a wonderful mommy".) That's what I meant. None of that should have been done. The children should have stayed home or at least out of the public eye. Remember, politicians are not like the rest of us. They would sell their grandmother/grandfather down the river for a vote! "I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollipops." -Jeffery Pelt, National Security Advisor in "The Hunt for Red October" All comments so far make this issue seem like common sense. But in Alaska Palin still has strong support. A myriad of rationalizations ending with "...she's one of us." Tribal affiliation is more important than common sense for many. Until she breaks a tribal taboo, then they will turn on her like starving dogs. |
