If dems whine about the electoral college, that's stupid. Lets not forget that most of the Constitution was invented through compromise and devised to protect the minority against the majority, the small against the large, the countryside against the cities. The constitution doesn't establish a democracy, it tempers it. The democracy established and amends the constitution, not the other way around. The electoral college was merely one of many compromises to temper the tyranny of the majority.
