Your president is not "a worldwide laughing stock". Most Brits hold him in high esteem and are encouraged that America has a president with a brain and a desire to reduce violence and promote peace and cooperation in the world.

Well most Brits that I talk to anyway. I don't have stats.

Time will tell if America's toe dipping into the waters of civility, rationality, responsibility, and sanity will take hold or scare them back into dark caves.

Hope for sanity, dark caves are in short supply.
