Last night I watched two parts of an excellent PBS series "Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State", which is a chronological exploration of the largest mass murder site in history. Information about that series can be found here, with a link that allows you to check for local listings by zip code, state or territory if you live in the US. I watched it in Canada on our PBS station.

My good friend's father delivered coal in pre-WW2 London. He was a hard man in every respect. He was one of the British troops who first reached Belsen; the memories of that place and its inmates never left him and affected him for the rest of his life.

Looking at the clip - there is nothing to say.

on one hand they say it is crucial to keep these "photos" in mind so it never happen again. On the other hand we all know that horror and monstrous doings are on a daily agenda in Human affairs all over the World (though not always so well put in a coherent propaganda & not always so well organized and executed as the nazi knew how, which is so terrifying in itself).

we are left with a real Question here: What if at all will take to bring these kind of "photos" out of the Human album .... ???

Many years ago I toured Bergen-Belsen , and I too have never been able to return to my pre-Belsen state of being.

Yuck. I'm sick of hearing about the Holocaust. Others have suffered to. Get a life. Stop dragging the world into your religous war.
