When you find the answer please tell me. I don't know how many times I told my parents they were over feeding their miniature wiener dog. Everything went in one ear and out the other. When the vet finally told them though they finally paid attention, but only for a little while.

My father dotes on the dog and just doesn't seem to realize that the big chunk of chicken he gives the dog would be appropriate if it weighed 45 lbs instead of 15.

That is the problem in most cases, I suspect. I've seen the same with the in-laws. I give them a big ........

Yes, they did it with their pets - the only reason was the love of the animals.
