The article they helped 'co-write,' in the NYT is pretty serious and somber. The stunning difference is between what they describe "on the ground," and what we hear and see and are told about the our sold-out politicians and TV Talking Heads, government propaganda, etc.

Perhaps bring attention to this, now once again with his death, Sgt. Mora leaves behind a worth memory. He sounded human, not like some general betray us or madman president or the daily warmongers.

The REAL Napster
'grunts' only know what their superiors allow them to know. And if you are a 'grunt' then chances are higher you will be in harms way, that's the way the military works.

Napster man, show some sympathy and respect for those who died living in such terrible circumstances fighting for your country! Men who continue to fight for their country even when they're sent into a losing battle are the highest order of patriots.

I served, my brother served, my brother in law did 2 tours and now his son (and my nephew) are serving. He is a communications engineer but currently they have him driving other guys around in a HUMVEE. IF that's not an easy target, I guess I don't know what one is. I know plenty about respect, thanks.

All he asked was that you show it, Nap, not parade it.

Napster I don't question your loyalty to your nation I just ask that you respect these men even if they don't agree with your politics or their nations politics -

" 'grunts' only know what their superiors allow them to know. And if you are a 'grunt' then chances are higher you will be in harms way, that's the way the military works. "

I have relatives who are 'grunts' I have friends who are 'grunts' Naptser and they're every bit the soldier you and everyone else is - I'm just asking that you don't casually callously dismiss deaths of people who (like you) serve our country.

Oh and while I think its terrible that your relatives are targets and good that they're in the military - I don't quite see what that has to do with this. I mean journalists are targets - they don't even have guns, people who go to work as truck drivers on contract over there are targets, and most recently south korean missionaries have been targets. There are a lot of targets out there thats not what this is about.

And I question if TRN really was in the military.

Heh. How much you wanna bet? My DD 214 says otherwise. That would be a bet you would lose.

I don't question your service or your good intentions, Nap, even as wrong as you so often are. I just don't lick anyone's boots.
