I think the two will essentially merge. You'll be able to interact with both the real world and your virtual world at the same time, they will effect each other, and you often won't know what is real and what is digital.

Agreed. The real world has been almost total space, but the virtual world is becoming much more important, though it's yet to overwhelm the real world, I think.
