It is the height of irony in the pro-life movement that many do not support contraception as a way to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Excepting those with arcane theological reasons for the position, it indicates to me that many in the pro life movement actually want unwed mothers to get pregnant, deliver their babies, and experience all of it as a punishment for having sex outside of marriage. They don't care about life. They care about punishing carnality.
