How is this is because of Bush's "failed energy policy"? An energy policy's success is measured by how much cheap energy we have access to. That is all. The only people seeking to curtail access to cheap energy and keep us dependent on foreign oil are leftists. Our dependence on oil as a primary source of energy can only cease after we cease our dependence on foreign oil, because our economy and progress toward alternative fuels and energy can be easily manipulated by foreign oil-rich nations. First become oil independent, then we can become energy independent.

Even T. Boone Pickens, republican oil conservative, wouldn't buy willhelm's drivel.

People need to quit blaming the idiot who sits in the oval office.. Blame the men and women as a whole who sit in the greatest seats of power the world has ever known. The entire system works when not filled with the bottom of the barrel.

For the record, I don't blame Bush for high gas prices. Not entirely, anyway. If you read the article, you'll see that it is not merely blaming Bush, but talking about the impact of gas prices (that's why I titled it this way), and then it begins discussing a solution.

"failed energy policy" comes from the article. If they do not understand what constitutes a "failed energy policy", then why should I care about their "solutions"? It is a straw man.

Why should we care about Willhelm's responses? He provides nothing but empty rhetoric and runaround babble.

Bush's only defense for not having a failing policy is that he has no policy at all. Good lord the man remarked when questioned by a reporter, whom I suppose knows more than Bush, "I haven't heard any talk about gas reaching $4 a gallon".

What a moron.
