Interesting. I was talking with my wife last night about the potential dangers of using microwaves. How is anyone supposed to know who to believe?

Please this sounds like the advertising world trying to sell their product "Radiation Ovens," aka Microwave Ovens.

If I were raising my children right now, I certainly would make an effort to find out the most I could about this...we are seeing more intestinal cancers and anal cancers since these ovens were made.

This article (written by an Australian) goes into the very studies the article (linked to by both comments above) used to justify this unfounded claim.

* Both studies were not peer reviewed.

* The most substantial study, one done in the late 1970s I believe, found that massive microwaving could create a toxic substance. Later work (peer reviewed) found that such intense levels of microwaving do not take place in conventional ovens.

* The second study was not even published in a scientific journal and used only eight participants. Far too few to come to any conclusion about anything statistically. It also turns out that those eight had prior health conditions (anemia) which is why y...
