A big victory for cheesehead democracy. Van Hollen is the state co-chair for McCain's campaign and, since lawsuit was to throw out newly registered voters that don't match existing records (misspelled names, new addresses, middle initial instead of middle name, etc.) since 2006, the suit was an incredibly transparent attempt to knock back a dem voter registration boom since then.

In my opinion, Van Hollen should be recalled for this. It was dirty, it was undemocratic, it was corrupt, and it made a lot of Wisconsinites as mad as hell. Voter suppression efforts should never be forgiven or forgotten.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Barack Obama attracting 52% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%. That seven-point lead is Obama’s largest in nearly two weeks. This is also the first time since October 11 that the Democratic candidate has reached the 52% level of support, his highest total of the year.

It's good this decade long (or longer?) Republican campaign of voter suppression has come to light.

Yeah, let's not look at the Democrats rounding up the winos, etc. and paying 'em off with a bottle of MD 20/20 to vote for the biggest fraud perpetrated on the loons in American history. Hell, we're still not sure he's even an American citizen.

What laughable bullshit.

Remember back when Alberto Gonzales was in all that trouble -- remember what that was about? He fired a bunch of prosecutors for not fighting voter fraud. Remember why they weren't fighting voter fraud? They couldn't find any.

The GOP brings up this boogeyman year after year and they've never been able to point to a single election that's been thrown by registration fraud. It doesn't happen.

But, hey, it's more important that a bunch of people who can vote legally be disenfranchised than it is to let a couple guys maybe vote illegally. It's called a right to vote for a reason -- they've got the right. You can't throw a bunch of people off the rolls b...

Van Hollen is a disgusting stain on Wisconsin's long progressive clean-government tradition. He ran a genuinely dishonest campaign and is just another GOP toady trying to make a name for himself.

'Horns is the new righty loud-mouth in town stinking up any clip he can find because he so desparately needs the attention. A cookie-cutter troll with a load of Rush BS in his ear.

There has been an arrest for voter fraud this year. It was by a Republican.

(See: http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSTRE49K0A120081021 )

Others have also pointed out and it's been pointed out that in 2004 the head of the State Republican Committee of New Hampshire was also arrested and put in jail for Republican dirty tricks and voter suppression.
