The longest running television program in history came to a close on Friday as Guiding Light aired its final episode. After 72 years and over 15,000 episodes, the Guiding Light has finally be extinguished.

A friend of mine is crushed by this tv soap ending. She has been watching the show since she was a kid.

Yeah, have to say it's sad to see it go. I never watched much, but it had such an amazing history.
