I recall that the use of those germ free lotions, something like Germ-X, can actually be bad for you. It kills 99.99% of the germs on your hand, but what is left is resistant to the lotion. With all the other germs dead, then the more resistant ones have little or no competition to thrive and grow.

I only mention this because a friend of mine cannot be convinced that washing your hands in warm soap and water is better than simply using the various germ killing lotions.
