bignosemousie says: ACK! I am so excited to find this idea. I love twinkle lights and tulle. This is a really cheap way to make things magical. If you plug the lights into a remote-controlled outlet, your child can turn the lights on and off herself safely. Can you imagine sleeping under the stars like this? Sweet dreams. I love the twinkle and tulle too. Santa got my daughter one of those book sets a couple years back. It's not quite the same thing, but it has paper flower shapes that you punch out and assemble (many different kinds), and you install the ones of your choice over the lights that came with it. We have it strung around the bulletin board at her bed, and it's just lovely when we remember to plug it in Wonderful idea to decorate a little girls bedroom. I would like to do something like that in one of my rooms..... Here's another idea, blue LED christmas lights, the net kind....connect one side to the ceiling above the bed and the opposite side to the wall. That way the kids can see the lights better. LED lights only light up the light bulb and don't disperse the light around the room, keeping it darker. I like the blue, it's softer yet they still look like stars. Good idea, Chestnut. I think the LED lights also put out less heat. I can't wait to try this. I showed these to my daughter, she really liked them. And good idea Chesnut, except those blue ones (specifically) drive us both nuts. It's like trying to focus on something with your glasses off! Using a tulle might still be a good idea, the light cord wouldn't show up as much that way. I don't know, it should be fun to play with and come up with one's own creation. I know what you mean lollipop, but for myself I find that the closer I am to them, the better they look. nice clip...my daughter would love this I'll have to check that out Chestnut. |
