Voltair On one hand I say yes, let her go on on the TV and show us once again why she such a despicable character but on the other, why should NBC be in the business of promoting lies and hate? It is not really censorship as the decision to have her on is based on so much on content but profit. If I write a book, I can try to get an interview on Today about it, but I can't cry censorship if they do not give me one. Doesn't work that way. That is unless the conservatives want a return to the Fairness Doctrine? why should NBC be in the business of promoting lies and hate? You raised important issue, ratilfar. Such approach leading to devaluation of the media to the level of servant for ruling forces and not unbiased supplier of most important and interesting information to the whole public in society. In this case we cannot talk about media as unofficial fourth branch of government in democratic civil society. After Bush ruling we barely can talk even about equality of first three branches. That is an agenda of Ann Coulter, agressive defender of past bankrupted republican governing. Well she whined enough that she got back in. She gotw hat she wanted and heaps more publicity to boot. |
