Luckily a friend of mine who lives in Kinglake - one of the other towns raized - was away for the weekend with his wife in Sydney. If they'd stayed home they'd probably be dead. These fires are going to have a huge impact on people in Melbourne as these are towns that people holdiay in, or travle to for the day because they are beautiful little towns. Many people in Melbourne have friends or family that live in these areas.
