clipette says: wow that "lady lumps" lyric is really off putting. I hope I don't have any.Are they contagious? Generally any mysonginistic rap lyrics are awful for me. i agree on all, but from the first time i heard 'DROPS OF JUPITER' that song was a gem..i think it even won song of the year --- i think the song is close to a perfect pop ballad.. lyrics and all. I just laugh when I hear that hump song. Maybe she is trying for a revolution? I think a lot of Paul Anka and Fabian songs are being overlooked. Isn't there a vaccine for the Humps? I'm surprised the Pulitzer-worthy writings of Nelly Furtado didn't make the list: Promiscuous girl(Can't...escape...this...song.......Someone make it stop!!) Most rap lyrics don't even qualify for consideration. But, among songs taken seriously (unfortunately), Imagine, if not the worst, is certainly in strong contention. I've always hated the song 'Imagine' because it's just rubbish, but I think its message is good. And rap lyrics and becoming all the more pervasive. Structurally, melodically, it's really quite nice. The rubbish is in the message. It's true - when the last thing you want is a peaceful world, then 'Imagine' really does have a rubbish message. I bet Georgie would agree GD, and I'm sure you'd be happy with just that. Blah, blah, blah... It's precisely because I want a peaceful world that I find simplistic drivel regarding it taken seriously so annoying. With them brains the size of peas ..who woulda known ? |
