The illusion called democracy consists in letting the public choose the puppets. This is why they make it impossible for a third party to run against their two socket puppets. All very true. Besides looking at the world in a "left-right," spectrum, which often has a lot of junk ideas and phony allegations in it all, a quite clear dividing line is: "SuperRich vs. the poor." The "powers that be," in many case are those with the most money; this being more key than any ascribed "left" or "right," ideas or ideals. The current Health Care Reform debate is the USA is just the latest example: those who are making great profits fight not only to keep things the way they are but to make changes that even increase their incomes.
