Really?

Approx: "A US gallon of fresh water at 4 degrees C weighs 8.34 pounds. An imperial gallon at 62deg F (old UK system) weighs 10 pounds."

Allowing for the differences in sweat vs. water...

Do we sweat approx. 33 pounds a day from hard work? Am I missing something?

Thanks for the comments - will be more careful to look into the antecedents in future. I understand that it is necessary to verify health facts and I usually clip from reliable sources - blogs are an exception. Thanks once again to you both, for pointing it out....
