Now that album art is viewed at sizes of one-inch-by-one-inch and smaller, how can cover art ad meaning to an album? And with people are finding out about shows online in addition to seeing flyers taped around town, how can bands, labels and designers apply their papering techniques to the online world?</P></blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/04/digitization-of.html"><P>In my opinion, digital album art and promotional materials should blow their physical counterparts out of the water. Conventional wisdom maintains that album art sits at the wrong end of a devolution, but that doesn't have to be the case. Vinyl has the size advantage, but televisions, cellphones, printers, media players and computer screens can do things a piece of cardboard cannot. It's time for designers to embrace the possibilities of digital album art rather than complaining of its diminishing importance.</P></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;"> </td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/E46844F7-30E7-40EE-8AB4-FA466824237C/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content7.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
