"Forced" to learn this stuff? I will defend to the death the right of every American to grill hotdogs and watch a ball game while tuning this news out.

In another incident a guard racked a handgun and spun up a power drill near a hooded detainee. Geez, are we holding hardened terrorists or . .

did we imprison some sixth-grade schoolgirls? Ah, well - when the topic is BushCo felons there is no shortage of “don’t drop the soap” humor at lefty sites, but scaring an alleged terrorist? Horrors!

As Jonah Goldberg eventually notes, some of the abuses are deplorable. But I agree with his point that most people who don’t already loath Evil BushCo won’t be moved by these new revelations.

Captain Ed summarizes the reports indicating that enhanced interrogation was effective, but views differ.

The reality-based community now needs to explain that everyone whose common sense tells them that some prisoners will sometimes respond helpfully to rough treatment is wrong. Or racist. And Team...
