between 5&10 billion...... they had better find lots of answers

Great picture. I'm sure 5-10 Billion would only last a few days in the middle east.This generation is unlikely to get far beyond the edge of the solar system, unless we learn twist 'reality' on it's axis. All of the time we think we have everything figured, then something or someone will make it clear we had no idea what is involved. Gradually we're filling in the gaps. The Hubble telescope may have been expensive, but what we have seen with it outshines anything we could have imagined. We can almost see back to the beginning of time/space. The Hadron Collider is looking at the other extreme.
