debbyski says: The LGBT community has a lot to be proud about including music, entertainment, literature, political leaders, professional sports, philosophers, athletes, and even gay popes. They are numerous, talented, and all of our lives would be a lot poorer without all the contributions they've made to the world. don't forget poppers debski. Lord where would we be without poppers? I'm proud to be LBGT. Clippers, feel free to voice your pride or support anytime. How about the lack of it? Go ahead Jay. Tell me how you really feel about gays. Debby, I wanted to make sure you saw this. I like you Debby. You seem like a really nice person, but I cannot condone the gay lifestyle. The police used to call it "a crime against nature". It is, for sure, against God's will according to the scripture. We all have contorted sexual desires. We just don't live them out. I read your comment Jay and wondered how I would explain to you how hard it is sometimes to be different. Different isn't bad--it's just different and God made me different for some reason. Sometimes I wonder why because it would be so much easier to be just like everyone else, and I spent a good portion of my life trying to pretend I was something that I was not. It can be a very painful thing, and that is probably hard to understand. It's easier to be judgmental of those we don't understand because people often want simple answers. Telling the truth to even myself when it was frightening and unpopular made me want to retreat, ignore it, or hope it would go away. Everyone around us would rather we not deal with it as well. They don't want to look at their own truths. As easy as it is to be in denial, the truth is for me, that I deserved happiness. Often society's notions shape and limit our own sexual definitions. Clear labels are easier for other's to understand. well said debski!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
