This is a clear instance of inflaming a problem -- not solving it. Oh please. The problem is there. Iran is on the news once a week talking about how they plan on wiping Israel off the map. I am pretty sure they don't mean figuratively. Achmacrazyajad talks constantly about hastening the return of the twelfth iman. He is even having the streets in Tehran widened for the occassion. Doesn't want to offend the guy with narrow streets. In the meantime, IRan continues to send weapons into Iraq to be used against our tropps, not to mention the training camps they run inside that country for Al Qaeda. We have been working to foster democracy behind the scenes in that country for years. NOt much luck yet. But I can tell you this, they are not going to rise up if they think that we will not back them. Ah, ss, think carefully here. 1) "wiped off the map" is an English-language colloquialism. How could Ahmadinejad have said it in Persian? There's no way to do so! It's a hasty mistranslation that the press has refused to own up to. Proof here, among many places. 2) The Pentagon has yet to come up with any serious evidence that Iran is sending weapons into Iraq. Sure there are Iranian weapons there, but there is no evidence of government complicity. Last time the Pentagon invited the Media to see the stash, the press conference completely fell apart,... |
