I never liked the Huckster after he made bigoted comments about the Mormon religion, "Isn't Satan Jesus' brother?" and he was quoted as saying he planned to amend the Fourteenth Amendment, to deny illegal aliens birthrights for their children. When questioned by the press, he denied ever saying that. He certainly isn't helping his political future. Conservatives found him wanting in the primaries and now he is going about rankling GOP pols. Real smart. You know, I think America rejected Romney for his stilted wooden delievery and lack of ideas they could connect with. They wanted an "anti-Bush" so they voted for McCain. Thus, putting Romney on the ticket would be an idiotic move on McCain's part. Unlike Obama and Hillary, the contest between McCain and Romney wasn't even close, and I don't think it was because of bigotry. What about Huckabee, then? I would say he certainly isn't very bigoted in the conventional sense. But does the fact that Romney is a Mormon influence him? Maybe.
