TN, I have always found that a well prepared steak, corn on the cob, and a baked potato with butter, after a big salad will solve the problem that you speak of. On a serious note the disease is serious; to watch someone starve themselves to death is just as devastating on family, friends, and victims; yes they are victims. This disease is so much understood both physically and mentally. I see this in the news everyday and think of the cases we do not hear about. We should do everything to support the victims of this disease.

I believe that there is a genetic connection....just like there is with every other part of us. My first acquaintance with the disease was through Karen Carpenter from many years ago. My daughter has recently worked at an anorexic clinic. It is serious and difficult to work with and the families need a whole lot of support and direction.

But just like ever problem we face, only the *I* can submit to the solution. The support system can be there; but it's the precious soul that must make the choice to receive help. Many do not.

We have to be more cautious in our watch over these people. This is a reason for concern. Our purpose in life is to take care of our fellow humans; why do we stray off course so often?
