invictus says: ... including links to my Clipmarks collections, of course. If you use Blinklist, you can contribute to these spaces (submitting your related clips would be a good idea.) If any of you have some Blinklist Spaces, let us know and we'll post some links to clip collections. BTW, I'm just curious, how is this different than what we already got at Clipmarks? I enjoy your clips and comments, invictus. Arif, this is something very different than Clipmarks and not competing with it. Blinklist is a service like del.icio.us. But recently they started a new feature called "Blinklist Spaces". That is, you can create a specific page, upload your banner, edit the sidebar text and define how to get content to this page. It is practical to create a "links pool" on some specific subjects. As for the spaces I created (the ones on this clip), they are on climate change and geosciences; ancient history and ancient writing. I chose these subjects because I usually follow content related to them. So, creating such a page, I get the comfort to find fresh links and news posted from all the Blinklist users... The blinklist spaces seems like a concept which I have been looking forward for CM to implement, ie, individual community or group where you could share private/public clips with others, but blinklist seems not clear enough on how it does its spaces. I will check them out some time, I spent some time on diigo recently but I was disappointed. I have just plugged in my CM link with technorati as recommended by CM team. Yes, Blinklist Spaces is still a new project and seriously needs development. I told this to Blinklist admin Mike Reining and informed him about the bugs. He said: Yup, we have some bugs to iron out and some important improvements to make. This is very much work in progress. If you become an active spaces user, I would love to hear your thoughts on how to make it even better.I think, we, as Clipmarks folks could use services like Blinklist Spaces, Diigo and Stumble Upon as "peripheral tools", while our "main base" is definitely Clipmarks. I claimed my clips at Technorati too. This way, I began to use my Technorati account again which I opened a year ago and have forgotten... Nice looking blog Invictus. The Omega Blog. What was your inspiration for such a name? I'm sure it was just an oversight, but Wilhelm was not listed among your Top Contributors Godfrey: "Top Contributors List" is auto-generated by Blinklist, among Blinklist users whose posts were pulled into the "spaces". If Willhelm uses Blinklist and includes required tags on his posts (like climate change, global warming, ancient history etc. ) he'll definitely be on the list. Skwirl: I signed up to Wordpress.com more than a year ago with that account. I wanted to choose "invictus" or "sol invictus" but not available. So I had to choose a new name. I always find an attraction at the Greek letter Omega - both for its ankh-like shape and its figurative meaning as "the ultimate" (like God says in The Reveleation of St. John "I am the alpha and the omega" The Last blog is what I read Yes, it can be interpreted that way too. Maybe it's my last blog on this earth. |
