Gegen 11 Uhr sind wir in den Booten und lassen uns direkt nach dem
Campingplatz durch die Schleuse Limburg schleusen. Ab hier sind alle Schleusen
mit Bedienpersonal versehen. Wir erreichen bei Kilometer 83 die Schleuse Diez
und haben Pech. Es ist zehn Minuten nach zwölf. Von 12:00 bis 12:30 ist an
allen weiteren Schleusen Mittagspause. Umtragen wollen wir aber auch nicht. Wir
ziehen uns dann noch den Unmut des Schleusenwärters zu, da wir nicht am
Schild halten, sondern bis zur Schleuse vorfahren und dort warten. Tja, nun
wissen wir, was der waagerechte schwarze Balken im roten Quadrat zu bedeuten
hat.
