Awesome! This is a job that requires love, kindness and much patience. I admire you John. You have come such a long way. Aren't our lives wonderful when people/children and animals come into it and heal us at the broken places? Love heals the wounds that life inflicts.

My work is my therapy.

I get to work with ( and by that i mean get close to, interact with, develop communication skills with) some absolutely wonderful children.

I am good at it.

It's what I've done for 28 years and though I thought I'd blown it, I'm back in there - and loving it. The lad I am employed to work with is one of identical twins (see sports day photo), Next time you feel sorry for yourself just imagine having twin deafblind sons!!

No.
Most of you would love to do this too. It's not me. I love being with these kids (and have some skills to help them) but who wouldn't? I am just very lucky!

John you are a marvel for what you do! You are probably one of the few people that understand me then!! I am deaf and have a trained 'deaf dog' I am so happy in my life as I have my sight, a wonderful job as a cook and enjoy vacations in the tropics. And also some wonderful freinds here on clipmarks. Please God help all those less fortunate then me and God bless you for your wonderful work. Also, I love my job too!

One million Kudos to you John. Not many people have the skills and mindset to do that work. I wish you well in life.

Yes, I have skills; developed over almost 30 yrs experience, but I clip about my work not to gain praise and "kudos" (whatever that is ). No, I clip it to demonstrate how wonderful working with these kids is. And you can all do it. Contact your local special school, volunteer, change a life - yours.
