Doesn't quite tell the full truth. Ulster has always and still does have, NINE counties. Only SIX form the separated Northern Ireland. Co. Donegal has about 90% of its borders adjacent to the six with access difficult from the 26.

The division of the island was the choice of the UK government. It was was based on sectarian reasons so sectarianism was inbred with the subsequent sequel. It was a Protestant state for a Protestant people - the origin of today's Zionist state for Jews only. And yes, both received aid and assistance from the apartheid South Africa.
