Gadget Lab asked people to submit entries and vote for what they think is the 'Greatest Gadget of All Time'. The ancestors of whatever we have today win of course.

The tiny numbers that appear in different places in the clip are the votes given to each gadget. Numbers to the left are "up" votes; right are "down" votes. More gadgets at the site.

Do you realize that it was video games that made cheap computers possible? It was the heavy demand for game units that gave microprocessor manufacturers the incentive to increase mass production, thereby lowering the cost of chips. I can remember a time when a high-end calculator cost nearly as much as a computer does now.
