There is what is described as plaque, on teeth, in coronary arteries, and is associated with alzheimers disease, in the way it's accumulation, interferes with the normal thinking process, particularly in the places that are responsible for short term memory. All examples seem to have the same substance the origin of which, is explained in a different way in each case. Perhaps it is a bacteria, that turns a normally useful fat into plaque. A bacteria that if eliminated could show our dietary patterns in a new light. The cholesterol that we eat may not be near as dangerous as what the bacteria turns it into. I know it is speculation, but I keep thinking of the virus that caused ulcers, was not...

I have problems with my teeth - They are so far gone they have been breaking off. I can't afford dental work even with my insurance so I eat Tylenol and suffer. Someday I will be able to afford to have them removed - I'm not looking forward to that either.
Note to Youngins - BRUSH YOUR TEETH EVERYDAY
You don't want the pain and embarrassment rotten teeth give you. YES, IT IS IMPORTANT

Australian Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste, a daily peroxide rinse and regular brushing does the trick. The human mouth is as filthy as a sewer - a proverbial Niagra Fall of germs.

Animal owners have been told for years to take care of their dogs/cat's teeth because it would cause heart disease from the gingivitis. Seems strange it would take this long to tag it to humans.

There is a clip today by y qadash about Prions: Proteins that fold unusually, and can cause protein accumulation, a symptom of Alzheimers disease. These prions are also present in yeasts, which can be responsible for plaque. These folded proteins can be responsible for genetic change. The links between plaque, prions, yeast and diseases like Alzheimers, are being clarified with research. We are gradually getting an understanding of how they behave

Phew. That makes sense though, doesn't it? They are linking teeth to a lot of different ailments in the body. One of the most interesting things I learned last year is how the old silver fillings are becoming toxic with age and even causing death. I would love it if one of you more active "clippers" would find that research information and share it here. I am gradually having all of my old silver fillings removed and replaced.

There is accumulation of heavy metals such as lead Mercury, and cadmium, amongst others, which the body has trouble eliminating. Each heavy metal has different symptoms according to levels, duration, age of ingestion, and complications relating to other conditions.
Amalgam while known as silver amalgam has a mercury content which must have been designed to be fixed in a stable form but has been known to leech from the filling. I don't think the metal Silver is as much of a problem, but they are still doing research. It may be possible to see if this leeching has occurred, with a blood test for mercury, but I'm sure that there are many places that can do this. Even with the fillings removed ...
