I dedicate separate shelves for my books per genre, and then I arrange them alphabetically by the author's last names. But since I've more books than I've got space, tons of paperbacks adorn my bed, my bedside table, my computer table, my floor - you name it, they're everywhere. Isn't it wonderful?

Recently moved house and am still trying to find time to arrange bookcases in the garage to allow browsing down front and back (like a real library).

I also arrange by genre I guess (oracle, db books in 1 place, Rushdie, McEwan and Easton Ellis elsewhere) - but again find them everywhere - yes it is wonderful
